Xlibris, the Indiana based publishing corporation announced today the release of a new book My Life Through Six Continents. In this moving memoir, author Azm Fazlul Hoque looks back at a colorful past and chronicles his wonderful journey through different corners of the world.
My Life Through Six Continents documents the more significant events and incidents in the author’s life including his childhood, education, career, and travel around the world. In the most basic prosaic form with simple terms and linguistic style, he shares his experiences of life and travel from a small village in Bangladesh to the far away, historic remote settlement of Batoche in Saskatchewan, and to several hundred big and small cities in between Helsinki to Canberra and Moscow to Honolulu throughout the six continents of the world. This book is based on a bare-knuckle true story. All its characters are real life personalities. Most of them are still alive and well.
“When I was writing this book, I discovered to my pleasant surprise that although my age has caused me to forget where I put my reading glasses twenty minutes earlier, my memories of events that had happened in my life some forty or more years ago were pretty vivid in my mind as if they had happened only recently,” Hoque states. “The beauty of writing one’s memoir,” he further adds, “is not just sharing experiences with others, it is also an opportunity to RE-live one’s own life.”
Engaging from the first page to the last, My Life Through Six Continents is written to leave a record of one man’s life and time in this world, especially for his posterity. It is a fascinating tale of a life well lived.
