Finding one’s life partner is one of the greatest joys any human can know. But when one loses that partner, the blow can be crippling. The new book Go, Girl, Go (published by AuthorHouse) by Carol S. Hackett shares one woman’s experiences and struggles in the wake of the tragic death of her husband.
Carol Hackett had a life that many people dream of. She was accomplished professionally, had a loving husband, five children and several grandchildren. After their retirement, Hackett and her husband travelled, skied with their family and made plans for the future. Then, in the span of less than a year, Hackett’s husband of 61 years was diagnosed with a fatal illness and died. Hackett was left alone and unsure of how to continue with her life.
However, the death of Hackett’s husband is only the beginning of the journey contained in the pages of Go, Girl, Go. She did find a way to go on. In Go, Girl, Go. Hackett shares with readers the struggles that endured in her quest to continue her life journey. From wrestling with the details of their retirement portfolio to dealing with life insurance policies and paying the bills, Hackett allows readers to share in her quest to reinvent herself and find a new path.
Go, Girl, Go takes readers on an inspirational journey in the hope that those who may find themselves in a place of loss can take solace in the fact that life does continue and know that they are not alone.
