Laura must attend school while trying to hide her shame and the evidence of her love for Bobby. She is trapped, with no support, no one on her side. She is left alone with only her thoughts and the child growing inside her for company, dreading the day when she must give him up. Heartbroken, Laura said goodbye to her infant son on the day she gave birth.
