Attorney Eduardo V. Rodriguez Wins Pro Bono Award

Texas lawyer Eduardo V. Rodriguez of the Malaise Law Firm has recently been elected as a council member for the State Bar of Texas Bankruptcy Section. At the 2011 Bench Bar Conference, he was also honored with a pro bono award.

Recently, bankruptcy attorney Eduardo V. Rodriguez has been elected as a council member for the Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. This election comes as no surprise as he has repeatedly recognized for his exemplary skill and dedication to not only bettering himself as a lawyer but for bettering the community around him. Given this opportunity, he hopes to use it as a chance to further the reach of the association and to continue their goal.

Although it is only eight years old, the Bankruptcy Law Section has established itself as a vastly important portion of the State Bar of Texas. The association is proud to work with pro bono issues, to help to set up seminar trips and is always looking for new opportunities for members to advance one another and to strengthen themselves as legal practitioners.

At the 2011 Bankruptcy Bench/Bar Conference in May, the Bankruptcy Law Section provides an opportunity for the members to mingle and spend time with the Bankruptcy Judges throughout the state. During this conference, they honored Mr. Rodriguez with a pro bono award for his recent work in forming and implementing pro bono bankruptcy clinics throughout the area. These programs are currently in Laredo and Corpus Christi, and he hopes to move them out towards surrounding locations such as Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Galveston and El Paso.

By continually working to find such ways to serve the community with honest and accessible legal assistance, Mr. Rodriguez has established himself as an invaluable member of both the Bankruptcy Law Section, but also the legal community as a whole. Over the years, he has proven that has a true advocate for the rights of his clients and is always looking for new ways in which he will be able to help his clients move through the bankruptcy process.
