UNIFY Surgical Sutures

By offering our exclusive EasyPick™ classification system based on needle size, we hope to make it easier for surgeons to choose the right product in different clinical situations.

Today AD Surgical and its affiliated company Applied Dental announced the release of a full line of UNIFY® Surgical Suture, a top-rated product with quality comparable to those of the market leader Ethicon but at a significantly lower cost. UNIFY® Surgical Suture features the exclusive EasyPick™ classification system that greatly simplifies the product selection process for surgeons by categorizing sutures based on their needle sizes (Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large).

“AD Surgical is excited to add a full line of UNIFY® Surgical Suture to its growing list of surgical product offerings. Currently, there is no universal nomenclature or system to categorize the vast array of surgical sutures. By offering our exclusive EasyPick™ classification system based on needle size, we hope to make it easier for surgeons to choose the right product in different clinical situations,” said Dr. Brian Tang, President of AD Surgical. “Providing surgeons with top quality surgical products with unique features at a reasonable price is our ultimate goal, and UNIFY® Surgical Suture is a step along that path.”

Currently over 50 different types of UNIFY® Surgical Suture are offered to dental, medical and veterinary professionals throughout the United States. They are available in 7 thread sizes (0, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0, 6-0, 7-0) and 6 different materials (silk, nylon, polypropylene, polyglycolic acid (PGA), rapid polyglycolic acid (RPGA), and polydioxanone (PDO)). Each box of UNIFY® Surgical Suture contains 12 individually sterilized foil packs of suture and one instruction sheet. The suture is sterilized with Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas and has a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date. All UNIFY® Surgical Sutures exceed the requirements of the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) and FDA regulations.
