In one month, two sisters will embark on a two-week tour on two scooters, departing from Seattle, Wash., on July 18, and arriving in San Diego, Calif., on July 30.

“We are calling this our ‘find & follow’ tour - Anna is finding her dream and I am following mine,” said Gina Freize, sister and founder of Venissimo Cheese, a family of four neighborhood cheese shops in Southern California. “We are going to visit as many artisinal cheese makers as we can as I follow my dream of making the camembert as well-known as the cappuccino. And Anna is determined to find her dream in this great land of opportunity.”

The sisters will drive roughly 200 miles each day. Their scooters are both 150cc Vespas. Their route will take them through Washington, Oregon and California, home to more than 300 cheese makers, plus countless farmers, wine makers and independent entrepreneurs.

“Why do guys always get to have all the fun?” said Anna Loewin, sister and Director of Marketing at a major telecommunications corporation. “I see Bourdain and Fieri exploring the world and think it’s about time we gals rev our engines and see what’s out there.”

Their blog, schnitzelwithnoodles.com, is a reflection of their Austrian heritage and aims to share their favorite things along the way. It will chronicle the planning process leading up to the departure, then provide photos, videos and observations of the journey.
