Industry Leaders Agree to Deliver Seamless Access to Comprehensive Solutions to Energy Market

“We selected Spatial on Demand for its comprehensive digital content and data management functionality, and for the maturity of the solution,” said Darcy Vaughan, Director, petroWEB.

Spatial Energy and petroWEB today announced they have entered into a new reseller agreement to provide each other's best-in-class data content solutions to energy companies worldwide. The agreement allows Spatial Energy to resell petroWeb's Navisphere and Global Seismic Library (GSL) products as part of the Spatial Energy's Spatial on Demand® content offering. PetroWEB can now seamlessly integrate subscription's to Spatial on Demand – the world’s largest energy-specific online database and enterprise imagery management solution directly into petroWEB customer implementations.

Spatial on Demand is an online platform used to store, access, query, and retrieve a company’s corporate geospatial data, as well as integrate the data with other energy-specific geospatial datasets. The imagery is delivered to global users by web access directly to desktops and can be viewed along with well locations, facilities and other exploration areas using industry leading desktop solutions such as Petra, Geographix, Petrel, MESA, Google Earth, Global Energy Mapper, ESRI, and others for exploration and development projects, environmental assessment and seismic planning.

petroWEB’s Global Seismic Library (GSL) is a catalog providing access to information on worldwide 2D/3D seismic and gravity/magnetic data offerings from industry leading providers. All data in the Global Seismic Library is normalized in context across all data sources. Spatial and textual access to all information is available via one efficient interface. Additional information on acquisition parameters and processing sequences along with a live link back into the respective data vendor’s website provides streamlined access to a host of data sources.

Navisphere provides NOC’s, Ministries and government agencies a simple, easy to use GIS internet browser platform for promoting current exploration and development activity and future opportunities. Powered by petroWEB’s Silverlight GIS browser framework, NAVISPHERE provides the user with a quick and easy global view of worldwide exploration activity from concession status to current/upcoming license round details from a simple internet browser. Additionally, proprietary data as well as other commercial data offerings can be quickly and easily blended and viewed simultaneously in context with the comprehensive data offered within NAVISPHERE.

“PetroWEB offers a powerful suite of content solutions that provide a clear value for our energy customers,” said Bud Pope, President, Spatial Energy. Pope said “Spatial Energy and petroWEB joined forces to provide seamless access to these important data sets because of growing global demand by oil and gas companies for quick and easy online access to information to support increasingly complex workflows for exploration and production challenges.”

Spatial Energy and petroWEB's reseller relationship is supported by a growing number of major and independent energy customers. “We selected Spatial on Demand for its comprehensive digital content and data management functionality, and for the maturity of the solution,” said Darcy Vaughan, Director, petroWEB. “Our decision was also heavily influenced by the strong endorsement of Spatial on Demand from current customers, and the program's proven integration to multiple internal oil and gas company workflows.”
