AcuTech Consulting Group Expands Headquarters Staff

AcuTech Consulting Group announces the addition of Charles B. Stevens to the McLean headquarters staff. Mr. Stevens in-depth security expertise will further expand AcuTech's capabilities in security consulting.

AcuTech Consulting Group (AcuTech), an internationally recognized risk management consulting firm with a unique background in security and safety risk analysis, contingency planning, and emergency response to private industry and government, has hired Mr. Charles B. Stevens as a Principal Consultant.

Mr. Stevens is an international security professional and a security risk management expert with a quarter century of experience in antiterrorism, security risk analysis, infrastructure protection, law enforcement / security forces training and operations, and the integration of private industry and governmental security practices to support the assurance of commerce. His extensive and diverse experience includes working with the governments of over 40 countries – including high threat environs such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia and Colombia - to enhance their antiterrorism capabilities; managing overseas security programs and operations for several leading corporations in the international construction and hydrocarbons industries; training federal law-enforcement agencies; and commanding U.S. Army Special Forces units in the Middle East and Africa.

As the Chief of Assessment, Review and Evaluation for the Office of Antiterrorism Assistance within the U.S. Department of State, Mr. Stevens was responsible for developing and implementing the assessment methodology and Security Management System upon which that office’s global assistance programs are based. He has led and performed assessment missions throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and South America, working sensitive issues for critical assets with high-level officials of U.S. and foreign governments as well as senior management of Fortune 500 corporations.

Mr. Stevens holds a degree in International Relations from Georgetown University, and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security and the International Association of Counterterrorism and Security Professionals. Mr. Stevens also holds U.S. government security clearances, and is fluent in French.
