Fashionistas, Foodies and Fun Jazz Lovers attended a spectacular ‘unconventional’ runway fashion event – under the stars.

Palm Beach Style Rocks – Jazz on the Palm was a special event to support the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Devine Style Inc in conjunction with the City of West Palm Beach and Wild 95.5 presented a community STYLE event at the West Palm Beach fountains, Clematis Street. "The City of West Palm Beach was thrilled to partner with Divine Style for Palm Beach Style Rocks -Jazz on the Palm. The combination of amazing jazz performers, our top notch firefighters, and unique fashions from talented local designers made for a highly successful evening benefiting the Red Cross." - Mary Pinak, City of West Palm Beach, Community Events Manager.

Jazz sensation Ashley Lee kicked off the event at 7:00 pm. Attendance for a Palm Beach County June event was at an all time high with more than 1500 circulating the vendor booths, listening to Jazz and then enjoying the fashion show.

At 9:00pm the energy level shot up a few octaves and the crowd swelled as First Lady of Radio – Virginia Lang, morning show host of Wild 95.5, together with DJ Joshua Daniel introduced a high-energy fashion show.

Gorgeous models took to the runway in summer fashions from: Amanda Adams Couture; stunning couture vintage from Fashionista Palm Beach (including Oscar de La Renta, Emilio Pucci, Bill Bass, Halston, Herve Leger and more)…then for the pet crazy and to the crowd’s delight, West Palm Beach Firefighters were introduced individually - as they escorted the doggie models onto the runway.

“…after all our first responders save the entire family – including our pets. We salute our local firefighter heroes for their amazing dedication to the community”, said event organizer and Devine Style Inc President, Olympia Devine. A sentiment echoed by Vice President, Troy Devine, “Yes, we are saluting our home-grown designers, organizations and heroes tonight – it is all about the Palm Beach County Lifestyle".

The doggie fashion show was a big hit as they walked the runway (coaxed and carried by the Firefighters) in the latest fashions from Woof Gang Bakery, Palm Beach.

The fashion show Finale segment included Brazilian-inspired swimwear by Lezly Garrett. The models swept the runway with beach wraps blowing in the perfectly orchestrated wind….And to the surprise of the applauding audience, the models and firemen finished the show by stepping off the runway into the Clematis Street fountains. A sizzling finish to a smoking jazz and fashion event!

A very well attended weekend of in-store events concluded the Palm Beach Style Rocks festivities on June 18th and 19th 2011.
