Chris Rasmussen of Chaska, MN wins $10,000 for his submission in a home business concept contest hosted by Educating for Success

The winners of the Blueprint for Success Contest were recently announced at a Home Business Conference in Destin, Florida by Rhea Perry, CEO of Educating for Success, hostess of the contest.

The contest was created to stimulate members of her online entrepreneurial community to create new home businesses. The first place prize was $10,000. Second place prize was an iPad 2. Third place prize was a Kindle.

1st Place – Chris Rasmussen of Chaska, Minnesota

2nd place – Brian Trimmer of Camarillo, California

3rd place – Pat Wesolowski of Tallahassee, Florida

“We created this contest to inspire our members to focus on starting an online home business,” said Perry, a widow who created the online community to encourage parents how to educate their children to become successful entrepreneurs. “By giving the winner $10,000, his chances of actually getting a new business off the ground are greatly increased.”

35 members submitted entries which were evaluated by a team of judges. Chris, Brian and Pat were chosen by the members of from a group of seven finalists.

Contestants were required to create and submit the following: a business plan, an essay explaining their vision and a three minute video detailing what the business would do.

The Blueprint for Success Contest is just one of many contests and workshops Educating for Success hosts during the year to encourage its members to build their own businesses and create their own financial freedom.
