Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich is proud to welcome the 2012 CLS-Class to its showroom. Starting this month, customers shopping for a Mercedes-Benz car in Norwalk, Greenwich, or Stamford can stop by the Greenwich showroom to see this 4-door coupe in all its glory. The story of the CLS-Class began in 2003, when Mercedes-Benz displayed its trademark innovation once more by inventing a brand-new category of automobile: the 4-door, 4-passenger coupe. Realizing that a sporty 2-passenger car was limiting for some people, while a classic 4-door sedan was just not as “sexy,” Mercedes-Benz filled the gap by creating a 4-passenger sedan with the look and feel of a sportier coupe. The result was their CLS-Class, and the fans went wild.

The result is a design that retains the sexy coupe silhouette of its predecessor, while the lines become even more sleek, modern, and streamlined. While profile is only a bit different, the front of the CLS-Class has changed significantly. The grill is bolder and the headlights have the boxier shape of the E-Class parent. In the headlights there is yet another innovation for which Mercedes-Benz is famous. The headlights are made up of 71 individual LED lights, the first automobile ever to use LEDs for the entire head-lamp cluster. Lighting for the signals, markers, low beams and highs are also all done with LEDs.

Inside the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, drivers are treated to a lengthy list of standard features, such as COMAND with 40GB hard-drive GPS navigation, Bluetooth, voice control, 14-Speaker Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound system, HD radio, in-dash DVD/CD changer, in-dash SD card reader, power sunroof, 14-way power adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more. The interior styling of the new CLS-Class has several major improvements, as well. Similar to the S-Class and other Mercedes-Benz cars, the gearshift has been moved from the center console to the front column, and the NAV screen has been moved up, above the center stack. The older console controls have been replaced with a more attractive and easier-to-use panel. In general, the new layout of the interior leaves the cockpit feeling roomier, and the controls are easier to use and more intuitive.
