Houston (PRWEB) June 23, 2011
Keystone Resources, a Houston Heights-based, certified woman-owned small business that specializes in marketing and graphic design was named the 2010 WBE “Supplier of the Year, under $1 million in Annual Sales” by the Women’s Business Enterprise Association (WBEA) for the second consecutive year, and Owner Julie Irvin was named WBE Advocate of the Year by the regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Counsel (WBENC).
Nominees for the Supplier of the Year award were judged on: customer service and proactive initiatives to address customer needs, business skills – growth, financial stability, innovation and management, WBEA and community involvement, and professional achievements and organization affiliations outside of WBEA.
Julie Marie Irvin’s award as WBE Advocate of the Year honors a certified WBE who encourages, supports and promotes new business opportunities with other WBEA members.
“Our certification and participation on many committees has provided the local business presence and a diverse clientele that ranges from other women-owned businesses and Fortune 100 corporations.” Julie said, “We are honored to be recognized among such an amazing group of strong business owners!”
