Arriva has joined forces with Trade Your Transport in the North West of England and Wales in an exciting new initiative that gives customers better value for their scrap car. In return for recycling their old car through Trade Your Transport, customers will receive four 4-Weekly Saver tickets for Arriva buses, worth more than £235.

Every car recycled through Trade Your Transport will be treated at a Cartakeback Recycling Centre, where we remove the hazardous materials including oils, batteries and tyres, which would cause serious damage to the environment if they ended up down the drain or in landfill.

Trade Your Transport is known as ‘The Clean, Green, Car Recycling Scheme’ as it encourages people to recycle their older more polluting cars and choose from one of the exciting rewards on offer.

Alison Price, Press Officer for Cartakeback.com, the company behind Trade Your Transport, said “Taking old cars off the road can be of great benefit to the environment, to our health and to society - as long as it's done correctly. Every car recycled through Trade Your Transport will be treated at a Cartakeback Recycling Centre, where we remove the hazardous materials including oils, batteries and tyres, which would cause serious environmental damage if they ended up down the drain or in landfill. The idea behind Trade Your Transport is to encourage people to recycle their old car legally and responsibly. We will reward them by offering them better value for their scrap car with the help of our Official Partners.”

When asked ‘What should customers who are interested in taking up the Arriva Reward do?’ David Shadbolt, Marketing Manager for Arriva, replied “Simply provide Trade Your Transport with a few details about yourself and your car by visiting http://www.tradeyourtransport.com or calling 0844 669 09 96. You can choose whether to deliver it to your nearest Cartakeback recycling centre, or to make things really easy they’ll collect it from you free of charge! It’s a great scheme and couldn’t be simpler.”
