True Blade Systems has introduced echival, a new service that archives corporate email for financial-services firms.

echival assists companies in satisfying fiduciary obligations to maintain and deliver email when requested by regulatory agencies like FINRA and the SEC.

The service provides efficient, comprehensive support for production requests during demand and regulatory audits. echival is optimized for use by RIAs, broker/dealers and private investment funds.

"We developed echival to meet the specific needs of our clients," says Robert Burgoyne, co-founder of True Blade Systems. "The echival system is closely aligned with the processes and practices of regulatory agencies, and that translates to less stress for our clients, because echival helps deliver what the regulators want."

Email can be searched and retrieved using criteria like date, sender, recipient and keywords. Authorized users can retrieve, save and print out email themselves, or they can work with True Blade Systems for email retrieval.

For echival to capture emails, they can be journaled from Microsoft Exchange or BCC'ed to an agreed-upon email address. Corporate email is stored on a secure server and swept into date-sorted folders nightly for easy retrieval.

A browser-based solution that's accessed via webmail, the scalable service can operate with any device running webmail, including the BlackBerry and the iPad.

The echival service is now available at http://www.echival.com. True Blade offers a 15-day free-trial period for the service, which does not require long-term contracts or lock-ins. Pricing begins at $100 per month. System setup typically involves a single telephone call to True Blade Systems.
