The SNHCA would like to congratulate Debbie Brumfield and Arturo Ochoa for being selected as Hospitality Heroes as part of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Center's National Travel and Tourism Week.
Debbie Brumfield, President of the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association and Assistant Chef Concierge at the Mandalay Bay, has been a concierge in Las Vegas for 12 years. Ms. Brumfield is also a Certified Hospitality Educator, instructor at The International School of Hospitality and Les Clefs d'Or, USA member. "It’s not enough to say that Debbie embodies all the best attributes of an outstanding employee. She is extremely passionate about the Concierge profession," says Mandalay Bay Chef Concierge, Doug Ward. "It was an absolute honor to be named a Hospitality Hero during the National Tourism Week by the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority," says Debbie Brumfield.
Arturo Ochoa, Concierge and Department Trainer at the Four Seasons Las Vegas and Les Clefs d'Or Member, has been a concierge for 8 years. Past Hospitality Hero winner and Chef Concierge at the Four Seasons Las Vegas, Adrian Little, says that Arturo was chosen from over 500 Four Seasons employees. "In such a short time Arturo has been Employee of the Month, inducted into Les Clefs d'Or USA and has been hailed as the Love Concierge." Arturo has publicly been given such the honor as being the Love Concierge due to his keen ability to handle any and all romantic occasion requests for hotel guests. Arturo remembers when he was notified of this achievement, "The Hospitality Hero Award came as a total surprise for me, and (the) message was very exciting and emotional."
Each year the LVCVA reaches out to their resort partners in an effort to recognize exceptional employees within the tour and travel industry. The National Travel and Tourism Week is a time dedicated for destinations and travel organizations across the nation to recognize the importance of this industry. The LVCVA created it's own Hospitality Heroes award program to recognize employees who embodies the spirit of customer service.
The Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association is a non-profit organization established in 1990. SNHCA is an association of professional hotel concierges dedicated to providing the highest level of service possible to their hotel guests as well as the visitors of Las Vegas.
