St. Helena, CA (PRWEB) June 23, 2011
Area residents have long counted on the St. Helena Region hospitals – St. Helena Napa Valley, St. Helena Clear Lake, and St. Helena Center for Behavioral Health – for access to top-quality, integrated health care. Now, with the unveiling of a new, comprehensive combined website, that access to health care services, physicians, health events and resources is easier and more integrated than ever.
“By bringing all our services together in a single website, we provide patients and community members the best possible access to care,” says Joshua Cowan, Regional Vice President of Marketing. “It allows us to combine the unique strengths of each campus to coordinate and enhance care. And since patients have one-stop access to information across the spectrum of our services, they can be more active partners in health care.” This can be particularly advantageous for residents of the Lake County communities served by St. Helena Clear Lake. “People tend to assume that to get better care, you need to travel to a larger facility. With this new site, it’s easier for people to see the level of quality available right in their own community, plus the incredible array of expertise available to our medical staff regardless of location.”
The hospital system’s emphasis on whole-person wellness is obvious in the fresh look of the new site and in the wealth of tools and information. From the banner “Live Younger Longer™” onward, the welcoming look of the site perfectly conveys the emphasis on health and wellness. Rich, interactive content is combined with a new layout that remains uncluttered and requires less scrolling. Stress-free simplified navigation provides one-click access to the site’s features and information.
“We wanted visitors to have more direct access to information, and more control of their experience on the site,” says Cowan. “A lot of thought went into making labels more informative, and giving users options in how information is displayed. We’ll be continuing to improve the site as we go.”
Some highlights of the site:
Visitor Information. Answers to questions from insurance and financial assistance, to on-site conveniences such as gift shop and cafeterias, to surgical instructions and visitor guidelines. Patients who wish to pay their bill online will find it much simpler.
Find a Doctor. Find the right doctor for your needs, whether by specialty or location.
Reference Library. Visitors can now access reliable, high-quality health information directly on the site, either through the improved search function, or one of the flexible options for searching and displaying information.
Multi-media. The new site offers YouTube Channel, Facebook, improved access to news and upcoming events, and RSS feeds to stay current. A new, flexible-format calendar makes it easier than ever for community members to find wellness classes and other events. Location information now includes printable maps.
The new site also provides easier access to the transparency that is a core value of St. Helena Hospital. An important part of the hospital’s commitment to quality of care, information about performance in established care standards, and comparisons with other institutions, is now available on the site.
