Fragrance and Beauty expert Jan Moran recommends this summer’s hottest scents.

“With warm weather ahead, now is the time to switch to fresh fragrances,” says Jan Moran, Scentsa creator and winner of a FiFi Award for Technological Innovation from The Fragrance Foundation.

The summer season is here and with new summer styles also comes the newest summer scents. Fragrance and beauty expert Jan Moran, creator of the Scentsa® Fragrance Finder, an innovative touch-screen display currently located in all Sephora stores in the US and Canada, dishes details on the latest trends for the season. From tropical fruits to soft summer florals, to cool greens and refreshing aquatics, these scents will stay cool and fresh under the hot summer sun.

“With warm weather ahead, now is the time to switch to fresh fragrances,” says Jan Moran, Scentsa creator and winner of a FiFi Award for Technological Innovation from The Fragrance Foundation. “This summer, fragrances feature classic soft florals, like rose and lilac, along with trendier tropical notes of mango and coconut. If unsure of what fragrance you prefer you can search Scentsa using notes or by brand, or take the “Scent Style Quiz,” to help you find the best fragrance for you.”

Once the summer scent is chosen, the next step is learning how to make the perfume last. Try layering scents by using a body lotion followed by a fragrance. Also, pay close attention to the pulse points: behind the ears, the throat, at the nape of the neck and on the back of the knees. The heartbeat creates warmth in these areas which will diffuse the fragrance throughout the day, insuring the scent will leave a lasting impression.
