Dry Like Me toilet training pads are a new way to help with toilet training. They are endorsed by national children's charity, ERIC and are now available from major supermarkets. They allow children to progress to their own pants, which many parents and professionals believe is the best way to toilet train, and can help to reduce the number of accidents. They are also cheaper than many other disposable alternatives and create less waste.

Developed by two midlands mums, who experienced the stress of toilet training, Dry Like Me are disposable toilet training pads that fit in a child’s own pants. They are designed to capture small accidents and help children and parents manage the stress and mess of toilet training. They are also more discreet for older children who may have accidents and useful when children start school or nursery and need extra confidence and protection.

Dry Like Me pads have been specially designed for children, with the best shape, size and structure to capture both liquid and solids and be comfortable to use. Independent research found them an effective toilet training tool, and in trials they reduced the number of accidents children had by up to 43% within one week. They gave parents and children confidence to go out and about while toilet training and reduced stress, which many believed led to greater success. The research also found that children loved wearing their own ‘big boy’ or ‘big girl’ pants.

Comments community paediatrician, Dr Eve Fleming: “It is important to try to keep relaxed during toilet training. Dry Like Me pads can help to reduce the stress and accidents in potty training and make everyone feel more relaxed, while still allowing the child to progress to their own pants.”

Dry Like Me toilet training pads are endorsed by ERIC, a national children’s health charity dealing with wetting, soiling, constipation and toilet training. Poppy Collinson of ERIC describes the pads as “a very useful product, filling a much needed gap in the market.”

Dry Like Me are suitable for children of all ages – including those experiencing on-going accidents. They are ideal for use during the day and night and can help on journeys, when out shopping or at school or nursery. They feature special tabs for easy and hygienic removal by parents and each box comes with a handy plastic travel pouch, which can be used to store soiled pads when there is no bin nearby.

Dry Like Me toilet training pads cost around £3.49 for a pack of 18. They are available from branches of Sainsbury, Morrisons, ASDA, ASDA Living and Wilkinsons. For more information go to
