Irvine, CA (PRWEB) June 28, 2011
Venture capitalist and best-selling author Guy Kawasaki will discuss some of the major themes of his most recent book, “Enchantment,” at a July event hosted by the Orange County chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
The event, which will be held July 14 at The Hotel Hanford in Costa Mesa, is part of PRSA’s Senior Roundtable series. It is open to the public.
“According to Guy, enchantment can be more powerful than traditional persuasion, influence, or marketing. The ultimate goal is not merely to attain one’s immediate objective, but to engender a voluntary, enduring, and delightful change in other people,” said Cynthia Ragland, OC/PRSA board member and Senior Roundtable chairwoman. “We’re thrilled to have someone of Guy’s stature share his thoughts with our members and guests.”
The event will begin with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by Kawasaki’s presentation at 7:00. It will conclude with coffee and dessert. The cost for attending is $45 for PRSA members and $60 for non-members. Attendees will receive a hardbound copy of “Enchantment.” To register, visit http://www.ocprsa.org/events/188/enchantment-the-art-of, email info(at)ocprsa(dot)org or call 714.832-2037.
“This presentation will feature insights from one of today’s most innovative thinkers and marketers, as well as offer considerable practical advice,” Ragland said. “We’re expecting a sell-out crowd of business leaders, entrepreneurs, non-profit executives, sales and marketing professionals, advertising executives and public relations practitioners, among others.”
