WWRD Debt Ceiling highlights how former President Ronald Reagan would have engaged the Debt Issue vs. President Obama.
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 23, 2011
As debt talks between GOP leaders and Democrats collapse, rightchange.com releases the fourth installment of a new web series; “What Would Reagan Do?” anchored by Michael Reagan, the son of former President Ronald Reagan. It was launched today on the Internet, contrasting how his father’s leadership style differs from that of President Obama. The latest episode “What Would Reagan Do? Debt Ceiling,” can be viewed at
“What Would Reagan Do? Debt Ceiling,” offers historical and current images depicting how President Obama is handling the growing $14 trillion U.S. debt crisis compared to Ronald Reagan’s handling of a similar debt crisis during his presidency. The segment was filmed at the Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara, CA.
“What Would Reagan Do? Debt Ceiling” is timely to the American public given the fact that lawmakers are facing major hurdles regarding debt discussions. Democrats want the deal to include increased borrowing with higher taxes. Republicans want spending cuts with lower taxes and complain that the President has been absent from the discussions,” said Steve Sanford, executive producer of Right Change. “RightChange will be releasing more episodes in the coming weeks explaining how Reagan dealt with similar issues facing America today: foreign policy, entitlement reform, and economic recovery.”
Each “What Would Reagan Do?” episode runs two to four minutes in length and will be produced as the events of the day dictate. The series not only recounts how Reagan led the nation on key issues, but also provides a contrast of actions taken by today’s leaders and presidential hopefuls against a standard of the recent past. All “What Would Reagan Do?” segments will be hosted by Michael Reagan, a nationally known author, public speaker, syndicated columnist and radio host.
“Right Change is thrilled to have Michael Reagan working with us on this series,” Sanford continued. “As the son of Ronald Reagan, he brings a personal and unique approach to the series. We’re convinced that contrasting the differences of Reagan’s leadership style to the current administration will inform independent and conservative voters what they should expect of our current and future leaders.”
“With President Obama and so many others trying to compare themselves with my father, I’m thrilled to be working with RightChange.com on this series to expose the true character and leadership Ronald Reagan exhibited, unlike those trying to associate with him,” said Michael Reagan.
