J. Scott Cotter, President and CEO of Childcare Network said, "Throughout the remainder of the year, we will continue to seek other attractive acquisition opportunities that meet our specific criteria."

Childcare Network, a leading provider of early care, preschool, and school-aged programs, announced the acquisition of three child care centers from Kidco Early Education and Learning Centers (“Kidco”) effective June 17, 2011. The acquired centers are located in Little Rock and Conway, AR.

J. Scott Cotter, President and CEO of Childcare Network, said, "Following our acquisition of five centers in Benton and Bryant, AR in April, Kidco provided us with an opportunity to further expand our geographic footprint in the Little Rock market. We found the Kidco centers highly desirable given the quality of their operations and the overall size of the centers. Throughout the remainder of the year, we will continue to seek other attractive acquisition opportunities that meet our specific criteria.”

Mike North, owner of Kidco, said, “The decision to sell my Little Rock centers was a difficult one, but the timing was right and the opportunity to let a child care organization with similar educational programs like Childcare Network made the choice much easier.” Mr. North was represented by Kathy Ligon and Shawn Riley of Strategic Solutions Group Advisors, LLC. Ms. Ligon stated “it was a pleasure representing Mike North and his organization in achieving their divestiture goals after a long history of providing excellent education to the children in the Little Rock market.

Matching the company with a compatible organization like Childcare Network with its similar culture and long term educational strategy made the transaction positive for both organizations, including their staff and the families they serve.” Mr. North indicated that, “SSG Advisors helped me make my decision through their wealth of knowledge and experience in transitioning to a new group of owners.” For more information on SSG Advisors, visit http://www.ssgadvisors.com.

The transaction is the Company's second acquisition of 2011. Over the next several months, the former Kidco schools will be rebranded to Childcare Network as they adopt the Company’s HighReach Learning Curriculum along with their other operational policies and procedures.

Childcare Network was founded in 1988 in Columbus, GA with the initial acquisition of just two schools. Since that time, it has continued to expand through its consistent and disciplined acquisition program. Today, it is the fifth largest private child care provider in the US consisting of over 165 schools in nine southern states with an enrollment of approximately 18,000 children. The schools are entirely community based, free standing locations that operate five days a week throughout the year. The Company is committed to being the working parent’s best friend by providing high quality services at an affordable price. The Company’s educational programs are individualized for each age group with planned activities that combine learning and fun with an appropriate mix of teacher lead and child directed activities.
