New professional development program assists organizational leaders and consultants.

When leaders become less reactive and more objective about workplace problems, they are more thoughtful, open, and creative—and they act more responsibly and improve their performance while lowering the level of anxiety in others.

Care Communications Press and The Center for Family Consultation will collaborate to launch a new leadership training program beginning on September 22, 2011. The program, "The Challenge of Leading in Anxious Times," is designed to provide insight and application to leaders operating in anxious organizations, and is based on the book "Leading a Business in Anxious Times: A Systems Approach to Becoming More Effective in the Workplace."

The program will help leaders to better address modern challenges in organizations, including:

  • How to keep thinking under stress for better decision making
  • How to avoid being involved in workplace relationship issues
  • How to lead more strategically to enhance organizational performance
  • How to mobilize others to tackle their toughest challenges

The instructors will be author Leslie Fox, co-founder and CEO, Care Communications, Inc. and Sydney Reed, co-founder, director of post-graduate training and faculty member, The Center for Family Consultation.

The program will include six sessions that will meet on September 22, October 27, November 17, and December 15, 2011 and January 12 and February 23, 2012; from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Meetings will take place in downtown Chicago at Pierce and Associates, One North Dearborn, Suite 1300.
