Brighton, CO (PRWEB) June 27, 2011
Watermill Express, the nation’s largest drive-up vendor of pure drinking water, installed its 1,000th company-owned water-dispensing station this month in El Paso, Texas. The distinctive Watermill Express self-serve stations are located in eight states.
Watermill Express was founded in 1984 in Brighton by Don and Lani Dolifka after the couple learned the municipal water supply had been declared unsafe for pregnant women and infants. They developed a water purification system that converts tap water into high quality, pure drinking water. Today, Watermill Express employs 350 individuals who manufacture and maintain the water-dispensing stations. Watermill Express does not bottle or deliver its water. Instead, the company focuses on providing high quality, low-cost water by encouraging customers re-use their own one-, three- and five-gallon containers.
“We are proud of how far we’ve come as a company, and that we’ve stayed true to our mission for almost three decades by providing safe, affordable drinking water to our customers. Our product is convenient and is an environmentally friendly solution to bottled water,” said Lani Dolifka, Watermill Express Co-Founder.
Watermill Express’s manufacturing plant in Brighton produces the stations, each measuring 14 feet tall and weighing six tons. The stations are structurally engineered to withstand winds up to 130 mph. The company transports the stations to sites nationwide for installation, typically in shopping plazas or high-traffic areas easily accessed by consumers.
Each water-dispensing station employs the company’s exclusive 12-step Water PerfectionTM program, which consists of eight stages of purification, including reverse osmosis, and four stages of support and service. In addition, Watermill Express technicians visit each station daily to service and sanitize the machine using a 29-step quality control inspection. The company also remotely monitors each station for water quality and equipment performance 24 hours a day via a proprietary computer monitoring system.
