The buyer and I were spared a possible nightmare which can so often occur when business owners like me believe they know everything about their company, its worth and the process of selling it—Andy left me with both a sense of relief and accomplishment.

Trucking and logistics consulting firm Ahern & Associates, Ltd. recently received strong industry accolades from multiple clients throughout the United States and Canada for several successfully completed assignments. Ahern & Associates recently completed various consulting assignments and profitability analysis for numerous companies, such as: Plains Transportation, Arkansas Transit, Milan Express, NORCO and Reynolds Logistics among others.

Jane Gripp, President of Plains Transportation recently engaged Ahern on an assignment aimed at increasing overall shareholder value. Gripp explained, “I first heard of Ahern and Associates years ago from a fellow trucking company owner. I did my due diligence on the firm and only heard high regards for Ahern’s services. The consultants assigned to review our overall company processes, overhead and financials were superb.”

Gripp goes on to explain, “The consultants were highly knowledgeable of the trucking industry and were goal oriented…we are a better company because of Ahern and his staff and I’m excited about our next journey together.”

Ahern just wrapped up an additional consulting assignment for Dwight Chandler, former President of Arkansas Transit Homes, Inc. who engaged Ahern to find a buyer for his company that met his strategic goals—Ahern found that buyer in less than three weeks.

Chandler commented, “In February of 2011 I was referred to Andy Ahern who was described as being someone whom I could work well with and somebody who is a ‘straight shooter’ that I could trust. Throughout the entire process Andy and his associates were in constant communication with me… they were direct, supportive, honest and kept me completely informed throughout the process.”

Chandler goes on, “Because of his support, the buyer and I were spared a possible nightmare which can so often occur when business owners like me believe they know everything about their company, its worth and the process of selling it—Andy left me with both a sense of relief and accomplishment.”

Today’s trucking and logistics company owners are looking to achieve specific goals and objectives, but do not quite know where to go or how to best achieve their results to maximize productivity. In the aforementioned cases, it is fortunate that the owners had the foresight to acknowledge their challenges and hire expert help.

Andy Ahern, CEO of Ahern and Associates, explained, “In the cases of Plains Transportation and Arkansas Transit, it demonstrates the vast amount of experience that our firm has in the trucking industry. Arkansas Transit wanted to sell their business and wanted it to be a seamless transaction, while Plains Transportation was interested in increasing their shareholder value and looking for opportunities to improve their already profitable bottom line.”
