Eclipsall has announced that they are entering a long-term partnership with an international solar development company to manufacture approximately 400 MW of PV modules for solar projects across North America over the next five years.

This is a transformative development for Eclipsall and will enable the firm to expand capacity of their facility to approximately 200 MW by the first quarter of 2012. This expansion will allow Eclipsall to better compete not only in the Ontario market but internationally as well.

The Eclipsall expansion is expected to create an additional 200 jobs at their facility in Toronto, ON. Further details about the partnership will be made available over the coming months.

“This is an exciting development for Eclipsall and demonstrates that we are well poised to grow not just in the Ontario market but beyond its borders as well,” said Les Lyster, CEO of Eclipsall.

Ontario’s solar manufacturing sector is ramping quickly to meet the market demand prompted by the provincial government’s Feed-in Tariff (FIT) program, the largest climate change initiative in Canada.

Eclipsall Energy Corp. was established in 2009 and is now well on target to become a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of high performance PV modules. The company’s manufacturing and head office operations are located in Toronto, ON where it will focus production of high performance PV modules in both 60 and 72 cell configurations
