Each class aims for no more than a 12-to-1 student-to-teacher ration.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 28, 2011
300 Enterprises, LLC has just announced it will be offering MySQL training in the Chicago area. Classes will cover a variety of subjects for both developers and database administrators (DBA). As part of the grand opening promotion, students who register by July 31st, 2011 will receive a 50% discount on their first class.
Each class will be led by a MySQL Certified Professional with real world experience. "We aim for no more than a 12-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio per class", said Jeremy Glick, CMDBA.
The two initial classes being offered are Beginning MySQL and Advanced MySQL. Both of these classes will include lecture time as well as labs.
Beginning MySQL covers topics such as the MySQL architecture, understanding storage engines, SQL, functions, and stored routines.
The Advanced class is aimed more towards DBAs and covers topics like MySQL forks, query/schema/server tuning, advanced backups, and partitioning. This class is ideal for those who already have MySQL experience and students who have completed the Beginning class.
In addition to the topics typically found in MySQL classes, the 300 Enterprises classes will cover third-party solutions such as MySQL forks, maintenance software, and even third-party support options. 300 Enterprises does not currently sell MySQL software or support. Therefore, they have no interest in steering students towards a particular product.
