As and announce the launch of five new routes from Glasgow to Spain, the leading leisure airline’s cabin crew vote the country’s beaches as the best.

Beach holidays to Spain have been popular with Brits for as long as overseas holidays have been available. It therefore comes as little surprise that their beaches have proved the most popular with’s cabin crew as well as holidaymakers.

This popularity and the success of’s new Glasgow base has encouraged the airline and sister company to launch new routes and holiday deals to Barcelona, Murcia, Ibiza, Malaga and Lanzarote.

Top Three Destinations All in Spain recently conducted a poll amongst their cabin crew to find out where they thought the best shopping, beach and city break destinations were. Of the top five beach destinations chosen by cabin crew members when they are on holiday, three were in Spain. In fact they held the top three positions.

Majorca came top with the beaches at Pollensa, Cala D’Or and Palma receiving special mention. This was followed by Malaga with the black sand of Playa de la Malagueta proving popular and, of course, access to the many beaches of the Costa Del Sol.

In third place was Tenerife, chosen because of its beautiful volcanic sand of varying colours. The blend of mainland and island destinations goes to show the far reaching appeal of Spain’s beaches.

In just two months since we started flying from our newest base we have launched five new routes and also increased capacity to some of our most popular destinations – this demonstrates how committed we are to growing the range of great value destinations we offer to customers across Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
