After instituting its GPS pixel tracking program in June 2010, Franchise Gator today announced first year results from the program which the company says has yielded useful information for both the franchise lead generation site and its advertisers.

After instituting its GPS pixel tracking program in June 2010, Franchise Gator today announced first year results from the program which the company says has yielded useful information for both the franchise lead generation site and its advertisers.

The GPS program was created to track visitors to http://www.franchisegator.com who find a business that interests them and then proceed straight to the advertiser's website before submitting their information through Franchise Gator. "We've always known that we 'bleed' users to our customer's websites. It's an added benefit that should be taken into account when determining the value of the campaign. We now have a way to quantify the connection," said Eric Bell, Director of Sales and Service.

The GPS program is free to all Franchise Gator advertisers who may place tracking pixels on their web pages to capture data regarding which of their site users first visited http://www.franchisegator.com. When a user leaves Franchise Gator and goes to the advertiser's site, the pixel connects the user experience noting that the visitor came from Franchise Gator. In addition, a separate tracking pixel is placed on the contact form on the advertiser's website to further measure which visits converted to leads.

Approximately 40 advertisers currently participate in the GPS program with each seeing an average of 50 visits per month from redirected Franchise Gator visitors. The company states that 98% of all leads being reported through the GPS program are from visitors who did not also submit their information first on the Franchise Gator website, allowing advertisers to capture additional prospects at no extra cost. Some advertisers receive up to 25 leads each month from redirected Franchise Gator visitors as a direct result of their advertising campaign on Franchise Gator.
