The 2011 Mobile & Video in Recruitment Conference was announced by Mike Taylor from Web Based Recruitment. The conference will take place in London on Thursday 17th November 2011 - http://www.mobileandvideoinrecruitment.com

Web Based Recruitment ran the world’s first dedicated conference covering Mobile & Video in Recruitment in September 2010 and Taylor is looking forward to another successful conference aimed at helping forward thinking Recruiters maximise the use of Mobile & Video as part of a recruitment strategy.

Mobile in Recruitment

"Our first Mobile & Video in Recruitment Conference last year showed that there was a demand from Recruiters to learn more about these emerging technologies and how they can be applied from a recruitment perspective” commented Taylor.

“With the number of Smart Phones predicted to overtake the sales of PC’s by 2013 it means that job seekers will be expecting to view jobs and company information literally anytime, anywhere on any type of mobile device. Therefore, by not having a mobile recruitment strategy in place Recruiters will be restricting the number of job seekers who will be able to see their company information and current job vacancies.”

Video in Recruitment

According to the latest Internet Traffic Report by Cisco, Online Video now accounts for 40 percent of all consumer Internet traffic and will reach 62 percent by the end of 2015. “With most recruitment advertising still mainly text based there is a real opportunity for companies to use online video to promote themselves and gain a competitive advantage at the same time.

In addition, there are now services offering video interviews as part of the recruitment process and this is another area that can offer great benefits for companies” continued Taylor.

Conference Programme

The Conference programme will feature a quality line-up of speakers with case studies and plenty of time for questions. The subject areas to be covered on the day will include:

  •     How to develop a Mobile Recruitment Strategy
  •     Should you have a Mobile Web Site or a Mobile Recruitment App (or both?)
  •     Using QR (Quick Response) Codes and Location Based Services in Recruitment
  •     Using Mobile Marketing in Recruitment
  •     Mobile Recruiting Success Stories
  •     How to attract high quality applicants for your vacancies through Online Video
  •     How to use Video Interviews as part of the recruitment process
  •     Mobile & Video Question Time

By the end of the conference delegates will have learnt the impact that mobile and video is currently having in recruitment, how it will develop in the future and how they can start to implement mobile and video strategies to gain an advantage in their own business.

“Mobile & Video can no longer be considered as a passing fad. They are both very much here to stay and will play a big part in recruitment, now and in the future. So join us on the 17th November 2011 to find out how your company can benefit from using Mobile & Video in Recruitment”
