“We are in the midst of a major transition of corporate company's ownership and the equity of Dunkin' Donuts franchise owners is important. We look forward to working on their behalf and telling their story.”

Daniel Connelly, a member of the Board of the DD Independent Franchise Owners (DDIFO) Association since 2009, has been voted Chairman of the Board effective immediately. DDIFO represents over 2700 Dunkin’ Donuts franchises across the system and is guided by a professional board and a roundtable of franchise owners.
“It's a privilege to serve with this group and I want to thank the leadership and the franchisees for their confidence in me. This has been a strong year of heightened involvement from the board, the roundtable and the membership. We are in the midst of a major transition of corporate company's ownership and the equity of Dunkin' Donuts franchise owners is important. We look forward to working on their behalf and telling their story,” said Connelly who is also Director of Business Development for JCM Franchise Development, LLC in Massachusetts.
DDIFO’s mission is to communicate, educate and advocate for the business interests of Dunkin’ Donuts franchise owners. Over the past two years, membership in the organization has grown by 40 percent and DDIFO is actively seeking to welcome new members in new markets.
Jim Coen, President of DDIFO, says Connelly is well suited to continue advancing the association’s efforts. "I look forward to working with the new leadership to continue the strategic direction of DDIFO. What pleases me most is how franchisees were engaged and involved in all of these decisions. DDIFO is a better organization as a result of robust franchisee involvement," said Coen.
Asheesh Seth will continue in his role as vice-chairman of the board. Seth is Business Development Manager at Sterlite Software USA in Chicago.
In other board business, Tom Colitsas, a board member from New Jersey, was named Clerk for the organization and long-time DDIFO board member and former president Mark Dubinsky is returning to DDIFO to serve with the new board of directors. Dubinsky is President of a Central Manufacturing Location (CML) providing donuts and other fresh-baked goods for 90 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
