Klatch Coffee is now offering and serving award-winning Rusty's Hawaiian Ka'u coffee online, at http://www.klatchroasting.com and all retail locations. The charming and complex Hawaiian micro-lot coffees being introduced are Ka'u Red Caturra Natural plus Kona's sweeter sister, Ka'u Typica. Both beans played a major role in Barista Champion Pete Licata's 2011 United States Barista Championship and World's Barista Championship competition.
Licata was the first competitor from Hawaii to win the USBC and also the first to prevail any national barista competition using 100% Hawaiian coffee. Licata picked and processed all coffee for competition, using Rusty's Hawaiian processing methods.
Rusty's Hawaiian winner of SCAE's 2010 Outstanding Producer Award, this award is presented to a farm in origin that has world extensively or done research in improving the production and preparation of green coffee. Also in 2010, Rusty's Hawaiian took first place at the Hawaii Coffee Association's Cupping Competition. These beans will take you to a small tropical fruit stand on the island of Hawaii. Klatch has a limited amount of these exclusive micro-lot coffees. If you ever wanted to experience a unique one of a kind cup, this is your chance.
For all local coffee lovers, Klatch Coffee San Dimas and Rancho Cucamonga will be serving Ka'u Typica from 7am to 4pm on July 4th.
