World renowned poet, Dr. Haki R. Madhubuti will excerpts from his newest works, Monday, June 27, 7:00p.m. The event is free and open to the public. With special guests, M'reld and Nicole Perry.

Dr. Haki R. Madhubuti will share excerpts from two of his newest works: Liberation Narratives, a collection of poems and YellowBlack, an autobiographical account of his first twenty-one years of life. Dr. Madhubuti is a poet, publisher, educator and editor. He is the co-founder of the Gwendolyn Brooks Center for Black Literature and Creative Writing as well as theThird World Press Publishing House. Dr. Madhubuti is a pivotal figure in the world of African-American Literature. This event will feature special performance by Spoken Word Artists, M'reld Green and Nicole Perry. Dr. Madhubuti will also sign copies of his books. This event is free and open to the public.
