With the adoption of SAML-based Single-Sign-On (SSO), Transverse further strengthens its Dynamic Revenue Management and subscription billing capabilities. TRACT users will now be able to connect to what can potentially be thousands of SaaS offerings without the headaches of multiple log-ons and passwords.

Because of the OASIS-defined SAML protocol and external identity and access management components, TRACT users can securely connect cloud-based applications and exchange identity information with less cost and time: “For enterprises increasingly using a multitude of on-demand applications in SaaS environments, access to centralized identity management will fuel a positive cloud user experience, as they can eliminate multiple log-ins for each application and extend federated security between applications and through the cloud,” said Stephan Pahlke, vice president, product solutions at Transverse. “The addition of SAML means users can seamlessly access third-party applications and share credentials within a few mouse clicks.”

Additional June 2011 Enhancements:

New Payment Gateway Option:
CyberSource has been added to the TRACT Platform as a payment gateway option. CyberSource is one of the go-to providers for large enterprises with high-volume transactions. The company makes payment transactions secure, fast and easy for merchants, financial institutions and their customers. With the integration of CyberSource’s payment processing technology, TRACT users can leverage the vast product portfolio and expertise of CyberSource to securely conduct payment and subscription transactions.

Easier handling of quantity-based subscriptions: A new configuration and management UI has been added to TRACT for easier management of subscriptions where pricing is based on quantities. The new UI includes easier definition and modeling of seat-based pricing (e.g. user access licenses) with attached tiered pricing.  Changes like upgrades or downgrades during the subscription lifecycle require only simple updates to the quantity through the account management UI, which then automatically reflects changes on the following invoice. Each monthly charge is calculated by multiplying the accurate quantity of the subscription product with the unit price as defined in the corresponding tier.

Enhanced Native GL Functions:
TRACT now makes it easier to report on deferred revenues—especially important for all customers that need to track the revenues for up-front charges and for those that want to report on earned revenues. Customers have the flexibility of maintaining a chart of accounts native to TRACT and can associate each deferred-revenue product and price with a specific account based on custom-defined rules. A standard report for deferred revenue with output formats like MS Excel, csv, txt or PDF is provided to all customers and can be customized like all other TRACT reports.
