One of history’s oldest professions, comprising of the world’s fastest talkers, will arrive in Orlando, Fla. July 12-16 for the 62nd International Auctioneers Conference and Show. Hosted by the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), the annual event will take place at the Caribe Royale Hotel and Convention Center.

With more than 2,000 years of experience, auctions continue to lead the world as one of the best methods for buying and selling assets. Every year, professional auctioneers sell over a quarter-trillion dollars in property and assets. Fast, efficient and effective, the auction industry is large and diverse, representing a range of markets, such as art, antiques, automobiles, business liquidations, real estate, personal property and intellectual property.

In today’s economy, interest in auctions continues to grow as sellers seek the professional assistance of auctioneers to market and sell real and personal property to interested buyers. To adjust and adapt to market changes and advances in technology, auctioneers use the annual conference to gain education from industry leaders from a variety of seminars on topics and issues impacting the auction industry and profession, as well as network with fellow professionals.

Highlights of the conference include over 50 educational seminars ranging from new technology and industry trends, to business management and specialty areas like appraisals and foreclosure and bankruptcy auctions. The main attraction of the conference is the International Auctioneer Championship (IAC) competition on Friday, July 15. Top auctioneers from across the world compete for the coveted title of IAC Champion and the top male and female auctioneers in this contest are considered to be among the best in the world.
