C. Cretors and Company, the leading designer and manufacturer of food processing and concession equipment for over 126 years, will feature the OriginateAir, the latest addition to its hot air popping and puffing equipment line, at the CineEurope 2011 Show, which will take place June 27-30, 2011 at the Amsterdam RAI, Booth 507. The OriginateAir is designed for caramel corn shops and other concession locations, and continuously pops and puffs up to 40 pounds of popcorn or other healthy snacks per hour. Other recent innovations in concession equipment on display will include the Mach 5 Popper, Caramelizer, Echols Large Nacho Warmer, and Stackable Hot Dog Grille.
The OriginateAir pops kernels in a steady current of hot air, creating uniform popcorn with very little scrap. A built in sifter removes unpopped and undersized kernels, while a digital control panel allows the operator to set an exact temperature for the best popping efficiency, depending on the grade and popcorn used. The machine can also come equipped with a removable coater that will continuously coat the popcorn with oil and seasonings as it comes out of the machine.

The stainless steel popper is a smaller version of Cretors’ original Model 80 Continuous Hot Air Popper, measuring in at 34”D x 59” W x 63” H. Customers can add the Cretors 50 pound Caramelizer for a complete popper and coater combination that creates consistently coated caramel popcorn.

Cretors is known throughout the industry as the inventor or “originator” of many high-quality concession products, making OriginateAir the perfect name for this machine,” said Shelly Olsen, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at C. Cretors & Company. Notable Cretors innovations include the invention of the wet popper in 1893 and Charles Cretors’ design of first Flo Thru, continuous hot air popper in 1968. Now, for the first time, Cretors is bringing industrial snack food technology to the concession stand.

In addition to the OriginateAir, Cretors will also be showcasing its new Mach 5 Ventless Hood Popper, which comes fully equipped with two heat lamps located inside the cabinet, allowing for storage of fresh, crisp and savory popcorn. Also included are two halogen lights permitting users increased visibility and ease-of-use operation. The one-piece kettle design prevents oil leakage that could otherwise seep into the retainer and damage wires and heating elements. The Mach 5 features a plastic bin liner and snap on lid, maintaining the raw corn’s freshness while protecting the food from contamination. The rust-free, stainless steel frame gives the popper an attractive appearance while creating a durable, safe and stable machine.
