Mark Ierardi has more than twenty years of experience in public accounting tax services. Mark is responsible for delivering consulting and compliance management services to publicly traded and privately held companies in the area of federal, state and international taxes. His broad range of tax experience includes advising businesses in the areas of tax compliance, tax accounting (ASC 740, formerly FAS 109), transaction advisory and tax planning. Mark also has extensive experience with IRS and state tax audits and research and development tax credit studies.

Prior to joining Smart Devine and Company, Mark was a senior tax manager for six years with SMART Business Advisory and Consulting in Devon, PA. In this role, he was responsible for middle market and large corporate client engagement tax planning, tax compliance, tax provisions, and tax audits.

Mark began his career in public accounting while in law school in the New York office of Deloitte & Touché where he was a member of the merger and acquisitions group. Mark spent thirteen years with the Big 4, including eight years with Ernst & Young in Metropark, New Jersey where he was the lead manager on the NY Metro region’s largest tax outsourcing engagement for a Fortune 500 company.

Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The State University of New York at Albany and his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Bar Association. Mark is an adjunct professor at Cabrini College where he lectures on Business Taxation.

Mark resides in Wayne, PA with his wife and two children.
