Patterson Pope, a leading provider of records management products, filing and storage systems in the Southeast, announced today that it has acquired Central Business Group of Cincinnati.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Central Business Group is a recognized leader in business storage solutions. The firm serves customers in Ohio, Kentucky, eastern and central Tennessee and southern Indiana.

Patterson Pope and Central Business Group have become top distributors for storage solutions provider Spacesaver. Patterson Pope is also a leading distributor of modular casework and mail center furniture from Hamilton Sorter, as well as vertical lifts and automated storage and retrieval systems from Hanel.
Central Business Group will continue to operate under the company’s name through its offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Dayton, OH; Knoxville and Nashville, TN; and Louisville and Lexington, KY. David Simons, currently Sales Manager for all of Central Business Group’s territories, will remain in the role. Central Business Group’s Jeff Pfohl will continue to serve in his position as Operations Manager in these markets.
Founded in 1974, Central Business Group has 40 employees. With the acquisition, the majority of employees will be retained and new personnel added within six to 12 months, according to Hammack. With the acquisition, Patterson Pope’s total employment is now up from 160 to 200.
