Expansion Supports Increased Advertiser Demand for Premium Video Entertainment and Engaged Young Male Audience

Metacafe today announced it has hired three new sales people to serve brand marketers across the U.S. and meet growing advertiser demand. With 2011 year-to-date revenues up more than 70 percent over the first half of 2010, Metacafe continues to advance its industry leadership through a unique approach to showcasing exclusive, original and curated premium video content programmed for its audience of highly engaged 18-to-34 year-old males.

New hires include:

  •     Derek Rudd, Vice President of East Coast Sales – based in New York City

Rudd brings more than a decade of experience in developing and delivering innovative content-based, cross-platform advertising solutions for Fortune 1000 brand marketers. He previously worked at IGN as the vice president of sales focused on consumer brands. Additionally, he has held a number of sales leadership positions with prominent media companies such as Double Fusion, Real Networks, SocialMedia.com and Piczo.

  •     Dana Drazin, East Coast Sales Director – based in New York City

Drazin brings expertise in social media and online video, having held senior sales roles with companies such as Ad.ly, SocialVibe, Gorilla Nation and Specific Media.

  •     Garo Khachatoorian, Regional Sales Manager – based in Los Angeles

Khachatoorian brings expertise in digital media for entertainment and brand marketers, having previously worked for companies such as ScanScout and SAY Media (formerly VideoEgg). Additionally, he has experience as a senior online planner at Mediaedge.
