We like the fact that each binder has its own unique features... perfect fit for us.

Aerobind Inc. will manufacture and sell the AERAD line of pilot’s checklist binders in addition to its AEROBINDER product line. The company plans to inventory all major sizes and make them available for purchase on its website by August 1st, 2011.

With a combined annual sales volume of over 100,000 units, Aerobind will now offer both types of pilot’s checklist binders commonly used in aviation.

The addition of Gressco LTD’s AERAD pilot’s checklist product line will give its customers more choices, and it will also introduce its AEROBINDER product line to a new AERAD customer base.

The acquisition of the AERAD binder not only establishes Aerobind as the market leader in terms of volume and standing inventory, but the new combined product line gives Aerobind the lead in product features such as color choices, rigidity options, and available sizes.

“We’re excited about our acquisition of Gressco’s AERAD binder business,” said Aaron Beach, the company’s CEO. “We like that each binder has its own unique features and that we are now able to offer both. Its a perfect fit for us.”

Both types of binders are used to keep pilot’s flight checklists safely held together in a demanding environment. The AEROBINDER is made to be durable through its use of reinforced Nylon and special UV dyes. It’s offered in sizes ranging from .5” to 2.00” ring diameters. The original AERAD binder was conceived specifically for aviation and was the most widely used pilot’s checklist binder for more than 30 years. The AERAD binder is made with an emphasis on ring flexibility and is produced in metric sizes.

Aerobind also offers a complete line of aviation binder accessories for sale on its website. These include plastic pocket sleeves and clear poly covers. These accessories allow airlines, flight training companies, and corporate flight departments to develop their own personalized flight checklists.

Later in 2011 Aerobind will roll out its new QRH and pilot’s checklist printing services, all turnkey and in partnership with aviation-experienced printers from around the world.

Future plans for the company include new larger ring sizes in 2.25”, 2.50” and 3.00” configurations. Also in product development is a custom printable line of no-slip checklist and QRH covers. Plans also include end-user replacement binders intended for 22-ring publications for OEM Airbus, as well as 13-ring replacement binders intended for OEM Dassault publications.
