Legal Helpers in Southern Florida recently won sanctions against JP Morgan Chase in In the Southern District Court of Florida Case No. 10-43601. Chase originally had agreed to modify Legal Helpers clients' mortgage through the reaffirmation process. All parties agreed to the modification and the reaffirmation agreement. However, Chase failed to file the agreement with the court as was their duty, despite continual prodding from Legal Helpers and multiple submissions of the documents to the bank. The Court vacated the discharge as requested and ordered Chase to file the agreement and awarded attorney fees to Legal Helpers. This is yet another example of Legal Helpers representing its clients and protecting them from their creditors.
