The Market Technicians Association, Inc., the leading organization for Technical Analysis professionals and the governing body for the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation, today announced the election of three (3) new At-Large Directors for 2011-2012, effective July 1st, for the MTA Board.
The newly elected At-Large Directors are Craig Johnson, CMT, CFA, Principal and Senior Technical Research Analyst at Piper Jaffray, succeeding C. MacNeil Curry, CMT, CFA, Head of FX and Interest Rate Technical Strategy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Sushil Kedia, B.com, Grad. CWA, MBA, FRM, CAIA, CMT, President and Founder of the Association of Technical Market Analysts - India, succeeding Doaa Elwy Fahmy, CMT, Chief Technical Analyst at Pharos Holding, and Katherine Stockton, CMT, Managing Director and Chief Market Technician at MKM Partners, LLC, succeeding Kristin Hetzer, CMT, CIMA, CFP, Principal and Founder of Royal Palms Capital, LLC.
Those continuing as Officers and At-Large Director positions for terms which have yet to expire are: David Keller, CMT (President), J. The Market Technicians Association’s objective is to educate the investment community and MTA members in technical analysis. More than 4,100 analysts and related market professionals in over 75 countries are members of the MTA. The MTA is responsible for the creation, oversight, administration and regulation of the CMT designation. The CMT is the only technical analysis designation recognized by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). It is also the only designation for technical analysts that qualifies as a “Series 86” exemption upon passing levels 1 and 2 of the CMT exam.
