Pre-Hire 360 Reference Assessment Software Opens its API

SkillSurvey has opened its API to allow its Pre-Hire 360® online reference-checking and candidate sourcing software to integrate with applicant tracking systems (ATSs) and background screening systems commonly used by recruiters in the hiring process.

The open application program interface technology, or API, has already been leveraged to integrate SkillSurvey’s systems with leading human resources systems like Taleo and HealthcareSource. The integrations provide uninterrupted and coordinated workflow spanning the entire application-to-onboarding process for each candidate.

Pre-Hire 360® automates the process of gathering input from an applicant’s references by using scientifically-based behavioral surveys delivered through email. The surveys delve into a candidate’s strengths and developmental needs, as borne out on the job. Confidential input from managers, peers, subordinates and business partners provides a multi-dimensional view of the candidate’s past performance. The system overcomes the usual reticence of former employers because they are released from legal liability and their feedback is not personally-identifiable.

With this linkage to a company’s ATS or background screening platform, recruiters can enjoy the time-saving steps of:

  •     Logging-in only once. With one log-on, users are able to access both their applicant-tracking and reference-assessment systems.
  •     Avoiding double-entry for candidate information. Recruiters can start the reference-assessment process by calling-up information on a candidate that was entered previously into the ATS or background screening platform. The information carries over automatically.
  •     Working within one system. The integration can be set-up so that recruiters never need to leave their base ATS or background screening platform to access Pre-Hire 360® information and capabilities.
