Duluth, GA (PRWEB) July 05, 2011
Angela Butler-Hackett, Wellness Director for the Parc at Duluth senior living community recently attended a two-day training class in Ashville, North Carolina in order to become a certified Ageless Grace® Educator. Butler-Hackett coordinates Parc Communities’ fitness and wellness programs in addition to teaching a variety of fitness and personal training classes for residents of Parc at Duluth.
The Ageless Grace® program, created by fitness professional and author Denise Medved, is a series of 21 simple tools for lifelong comfort and ease. The program movements, which are performed in a chair, focus on promoting the healthy longevity of the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Each of the 21 tools focuses on different anti-aging techniques such as joint mobility, spinal flexibility, right-left brain coordination, cognitive function, systemic stimulation, balance, confidence, and playfulness.
“The program is unlike any other”, said Butler-Hackett. “The participants are totally engaged because the program allows them to be interactive with each other and the instructor. And in addition to focusing on the anti-aging techniques, it also promotes a great deal of social interaction.”
