Dallas, TX (PRWEB) July 01, 2011
LPB Energy Management (LPB) announced today that it has received its annual Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70 Type II certification. This annual review and detailed testing of LPB’s internal controls and procedures as they relate to its energy management solution ensures that LPB is providing the highest level of confidence and security when it comes to outsourced business processing.
SAS 70 is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to represent that a service organization has undergone an in-depth audit of their control objectives and activities involving information technology and related processes. For this year’s detailed audit, LPB retained the services of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, a member of RSM International, the seventh-largest worldwide accounting and consulting organization. The internal controls McGladrey & Pullen tested include data center security, network access security, software management, and invoice data collection, validation, processing, and payment.
“We are very pleased with this year’s results of the SAS 70 Type II audit,” said Matthew Berke, founder and president of LPB. “Our ability to demonstrate a well-controlled, effective, and reliable solution has given our clients the confidence they need when outsourcing their energy management services.”
