A new Android mobile phone application has been released by Knowlysis. This new app is called What’s My Name. Providing a simple interface it is intended for a wide spectrum of users, and has broad appeal.
Mobile phones with the Android system (powered by Google) are increasingly popular in the consumer market, seeing fast growth with new and more affordable smartphones.
The What’s My Name app is designed to be a fun way to help the user learn the names of friends, extended family, club/group/church members and business associates – anyone they regularly encounter and those within their social networks.
The app presents a flashcard-type game to help users associate a name with that person’s photo. The interface allows the import of photos from social networking applications, like Facebook and LinkedIn, or personal phone contacts. You also have the ability to add images that you take with the devices built-in camera. Names can be organized into groups for more organized and efficient learning.
To play this learning game, the app presents a picture followed by a choice of four names. You can play the game in continuous or timed mode to challenge your ability to identify your contacts quickly leading to mastery.
Knowlysis CEO Chris Worsley comments, “We are very pleased to share this app with all Android users. We’ve found it to be a useful learning tool and a fun way to remember names of contacts. Our developers have done a nice job keeping it simple, yet useful. We’re expecting it to become popular in the Android marketplace.”
