Triangle Adventure Boot Camp, the premiere Triangle-area women’s fitness program, which has been transforming women’s lives since Fall 2008, announces a new location in North Raleigh. Trinity Academy offers the women of Triangle Adventure Boot Camp wide open outdoor space and access to the gym when the weather drives them indoors.

Triangle Adventure Boot Camp, the Triangle-area installment of the largest fitness boot camp system in the world, announces a new location for women in North Raleigh as it continues with its outdoor summer classes. Trinity Academy, a private school with expansive outdoor space and a well equipped gymnasium, became the home for Triangle Adventure Boot Camp with the start of the Summer I session on May 31st, 2011. This new location brings with it positive change as the company progresses towards the end of its third full year of operation in the Triangle area.

“We are truly excited to have a new home,” says Jennifer Shevach, Triangle Adventure Boot Camp’s director and North Raleigh instructor. “The wide open spaces at Trinity allow us to spread out the activities, making it a workout just to get from one area to the next.” Shevach searched North Raleigh for a location that offered both indoor and outdoor space in a single location, as well as plenty of room to move for the expanding group. “Having our indoor space for bad weather at the same location makes everyone’s morning run a little more smoothly,” says Shevach.

As with any change there was an adjustment period, but after just four weeks in the new location, the ladies are feeling quite comfortable at Trinity. During a recent anonymous survey of current campers, many of the comments on the location were quite positive, including statements such as “I like the fact that we don’t have to go to 2 different places when it rains,” and “It’s nice to have the track to use for cardio.” And Triangle Adventure Boot Camp’s assistant trainer, Kristie Ellison, says, “The outdoor space is so large, that I get a workout just setting up the obstacle courses!”

And the change in location has only positively impacted the size of the group. Enrollment numbers are up 25% from the same time last year, and the retention rate has remained above 75% throughout the change. “Change is tough, but the ladies love their outdoor, morning workouts,” says Shevach. “They really stuck with it as I worked to improve the flow of the workouts in the new, larger space. I believe that by the end of our first camp there it really felt like home to trainers and campers alike.”

Triangle Adventure Boot Camp fuses personal training with group exercise in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Women from all over the Triangle engage each morning in a variety of activities designed to improve their level of physical fitness and boost their self-confidence. Triangle Adventure Boot Camp offers weight loss and strength gains to women of all fitness levels. Each 4-week camp consists of obstacle courses, cardio intervals, weight training, and core strengthening exercises, developed to maximize fitness gains in just one hour per day.

While there are over 250 Adventure Boot Camp locations worldwide, Triangle Adventure Boot Camp is the only one of its kind in the Raleigh area. The new Raleigh location at Trinity Academy gives them a place to call home.
