The proposition is truly unique, and tradespeople have recognised it.

In April, online retailer announced the launch of their proposition, Professional. Aimed at trade customers, Professional offers plumbers, builders, bathroom fitters and interior designers instant discounts, and a loyalty scheme supported by a dedicated trade team. Two months on, the scheme is enjoying unprecedented success, and have now announced further advantages to becoming a member.

Tradespeople across the UK have recognised the potential of this scheme. It keeps costs low for the trade, and, by providing each member with their own unique URL to pass to their customers, it allows the trade customer to pass on great discounts to their clients who want to make a purchase themselves directly.

In order to reward those tradespeople who have already signed up to Professional, the scheme has extended the guarantee on all purchases to two years. Professional has also added an extra loyalty bonus to members for all orders placed via their unique URLs by their clients.

If a member's client orders from – via their bespoke URL – their client will receive a 5% discount. This discount is now matched and Professional members receive the value of 5% of the order as a loyalty bonus as well. This is in addition to the loyalty bonus earned from the total order value of their client's order as originally agreed.

Paul Hanson, Sales and Marketing Director for, comments: “We knew that Professional would appeal to the trade because of the great benefits of it and the service it offers. The proposition is truly unique, and tradespeople have recognised it.”
