We all have to make time to go to the bathroom, and that’s where we’re hoping to connect with our customers.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) July 21, 2011
Denver-based game studio Scumborg Games has announced the release of Raging Robots, a retro arcade game for iPhone and iPod touch which is being touted by its developers as the ultimate cure for bathroom boredom.
“Our primary goal was to make a game that’s easy to pick up and play,” said Scumborg Games founder and president Sean Ramsey. “In an age where many games take days to beat, we’ve found ourselves drawn to titles which can be fully experienced during an average length toilet session.”
Raging Robots tasks players with staving off the impending “robopocalypse” by tapping bots to prevent them from escaping offscreen. As players progress, they must manage an ever-increasing number of robots in order to keep humanity safe.
“We wanted to capture the essence of arcade classics like Centipede and Missile Command,” said Ramsey, “and condense it into the time it takes a typical American to use the restroom.”
He goes on to say that many people are simply too busy to play through modern console games, “but we all have to make time to go to the bathroom--and that’s where we’re hoping to connect with our customers.”
Raging Robots is available now for $0.99 (USD) in the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/apps/ragingrobots).
