Online marketing program also includes search engine optimization and social media.

Southlake Dermatology, an award-winning provider of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic treatments to patients in Southlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, Keller, Trophy Club and beyond, launched its new website in June: http://www.southlakedermatology.com. Incorporating a custom design to complement the company’s existing brand, along with sophisticated architecture and the latest software, the new website offers a more visually-appealing and interactive experience.

Developed and maintained by i5 web works, the website’s home page provides an overview of Southlake Dermatology and its services, as well as educational resources and skincare products. The ‘Request an Appointment’ section is prominently displayed on the home page and throughout the website to allow patients to easily make appointments online. Contact information, office hours and a search function are also conveniently available on every page.

According to Dr. Angela Bowers-Plott, founder of Southlake Dermatology, the new website is the first step in her overall internet marketing program, which also includes search engine optimization, social media and an electronic newsletter.

“Our internet-based efforts have evolved over time with technology,” says Dr. Bowers-Plott, noting she was the first dermatologist in the area to adopt paperless health records in 2004. “I strongly believe the internet can improve both our patient service and communication activities. For the first time, we are working with a company that can do it all.”

The comprehensive website is organized into eight primary sections to quickly direct patients and visitors to the information they are seeking:

  •     The ‘Services’ section is categorized by medical and cosmetic services with detailed explanations for each procedure.
  •     Physician/provider credentials and staff photos are posted in the ‘Our Team’ section.
  •     A secure ‘Patient Login’ section allows patients to complete new patient paperwork and submit to office staff before arrival.
  •     The ‘Resources’ section includes dermatology-related videos and articles, a helpful sunscreen reference, and skincare overview.
  •     The ‘Forms/Insurance’ section allows patients to download and complete necessary paperwork prior to their appointment.
  •     Articles, press releases and newsletters are posted in the ‘News’ section.
  •     An online contact form and location map are in the ‘Contact Us’ section.

Southlake Dermatology’s new website is being integrated and cross-promoted with other marketing activities, including its e-newsletter, Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/SouthlakeDermatology1, and online e-commerce site, http://www.mdskinproducts.com.
