OMGWire becomes even more up-to-date with OMGWire Trends! is a Celebrity Gossip and Entertainment News website, happy to announce its latest update. OMGWire was launched in early April 2011 and within 90 days of inception it has broken Top 100,000 on Alexa, reaching an average of 75,000 people monthly.

OMGWire has become a new name for what is new and what is hot. With the latest celebrity gossip and current entertainment news, it is no surprise that they are about to get even more up-to-date as the newest source of "Why its trending" information on Twitter.

Twitter has become a fast paced source for news across the web and with its 'Trends' it has created a lightning fast system for what is new. With its recent public announcement that there are an average 200 Million tweets per day, it is likely that one may not understand the reasoning behind each and every trend.

With the uncertainty of the Internet, OMGWire, LLC has launched its Trending dictionary called OMGWire Trends. OMGWire Trends is an extension that serves as a platform for identifying the source of trends.

The new extension is user-friendly so everybody can 'Submit a Trend.' If somebody is uncertain of why a trend in trending they can 'submit a trend' and it will be defined by somebody else. In order to ensure a spam-free system, the trends are not published automatically but instead are submitted for moderator approval. Upon approval, the moderators can either define the trend themselves or leave it open for user-definition.

OMGWire hopes to become the most widely recognized name for gathering a quick definition quickly. It is common that the reason behind trends cannot be found on the Internet. For example, quite often, movies are on TV and become trending topics on twitter because the movie becomes the talk around town. If there is no news coverage of the movie on television, the reason behind the trend may be unknown. For that, OMGWire Trends will list that the movie is playing on television on channel X.

OMGWire has launched its Trends at as well as a link in its homepage navigation so it is easy to navigate to.
